Manufactured Methane Corp. (MMC) was formed in 2008 to use the company’s technology (a portion of which is patent-pending) to convert waste gases, principally methane, into a clean energy source.
Using MMC’s process, methane gas can be captured, purified, and injected into natural gas pipelines as a substitute product for customers’ natural gas supplies. Primarily this process involves waste gases generated from landfills, but MMC’s services can be employed to convert waste gas into usable energy in multiple venues.
MMC’s process removes siloxanes, which can damage engines and equipment powered by untreated landfill-produced gas.
MMC is a subsidiary of Tengasco, Inc., a Knoxville, Tennessee-based oil and gas exploration company. Tengasco is publicly traded on the NYSE AMEX LLC Exchange under the symbol TGC. As the potential of converting landfill and other waste gases to energy took shape, Tengasco, recognizing this was a departure from its core business, established MMC.
MMC gives customers the opportunity to capitalize on the environmental and business advantages of capturing and converting waste gas to energy.
MMC is led by executives with extensive and successful experience in energy exploration, operations and marketing of energy resources. The company has a single, highly focused goal: enable customers to profit from waste gas resources they possess and which can bring to them previously untapped advantages and opportunities.
